Day 5: Relationships
Scripture: “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12
Prayer: Father, thank You that you created us to have relationships. Thank You for the people You put in our lives. May we clothe ourselves in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. May teachers, staff and administrators be patient with our students, parents, their family, friends, coworkers and all they come in contact with. May we all forgive freely like You have forgiven us. May Your light shine brightly in all our relationships, so that You may be glorified in all that we do, say, and think. We pray all this in the Name of Jesus.
Decree: We decree that God is glorified in our relationships and that everyone who attends, visits or works at a school is kind, patient, gentle, humble, and loving.
5 Promises:
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins”. 1 Peter 4:8
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ephesians 4:29
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:13
Application:
Call or write a letter to someone today telling them how much you appreciate them in your life.
Is there anyone you need to forgive so that your relationship can be restored?
Smile and give a compliment to a complete stranger today - you may be God’s agent showering them with His love.
